Kara Turner

Kara Turner is an interior designer working in the Chicagoland area. Her passion for design started at a young age while growing up in a small town in Michigan; so upon graduating high school she moved to Schaumburg, Illinois to attend the Illinois Institute of Art for interior design. After graduating she started working in the industry and has done everything from AutoCAD technical drawings, product logistics and project management, retail sales of furniture, tile, cabinetry, plumbing and appliances, and kitchen and bath design.

This mix of unique experiences has given her a well-rounded education in all aspects of design and immense respect for all the work that goes into bringing a design to life.

Her design inspiration often comes from her love of traveling to new places, and aside from design, her interests include aerial yoga, reading, watching movies, and cuddling with her cat.
